STEP 2
Build Your Authorship Timeline
Each upload receives its own True Origin certificate. Its digital fingerprint and timestamp are recorded on the Polygon blockchain without storing your manuscript.
STEP 3
Earn Verified Human Authorship
Once all four stages are documented, a member of the True Origin team reviews the completed development history. Records that meet the Verified Human Authorship standard receive the Verified Human Authorship seal.

Every manuscript version registered through True Origin receives a unique SHA-256 digital fingerprint—a 64-character code generated from the file itself. Even a one-character change produces a different fingerprint. That fingerprint and its timestamp are recorded on the Polygon blockchain, creating a permanent, tamper-evident record that cannot be altered by True Origin or anyone else. Years later, anyone with access to the original file can calculate its fingerprint and compare it with the blockchain record to verify that the exact version existed at that point in time. By documenting multiple manuscript stages, True Origin creates an independently verifiable history of how a manuscript developed—not just a record of the finished work.
